Like the majority of the products on our site we prefer to test them before selling and recommending them to our customers. We have been using a ZMA400P11 for almost a month now with no issues.
Zapmicro - Zapmicro has been in business for over 10 years selling
telephony cards. Most of them I believe have been the cheap imitation
of Digium's X100P.
As I stated earlier we have been using a ZMA400P11 for almost a month.
The card has worked flawlessly. The voice quality is excellent, and
installation is identical to a Digium card, no special drivers or
configuration needed. We have used the card with several versions of
Trixbox, Asterisk, AsteriskNow, and Skip2PBX (another product we will
introduce you to in the coming week). Another nice feature of the Zapmicro cards is the 2 year warranty on the ZMA400 and ZMA800 cards.
Tech Support - Since I have not had any issues with the card to date it is difficult to test their tech support. I did call them several times however and all calls were answered the 2nd or 3rd ring, guess they are not that busy yet. The techs I talked to were polite and able to answer some simple questions I asked.
Quality - The card appears to be of good quality. All soldering is correct - not pins missed or big globs of solder. The sockets labeled along with the end of the card to make configuration easier.
Sound Quality - The sound was very good on all the installations we tested the card on. We had no issues with echo or clarity.
Installation - The card installs and is configured exactly as a Digium card. No special drivers or configuration. The card was indentified as a Wildcard TDM400, as seen in the screenshot below.
Test Platform - Generic PC with Intel PIII 500, 512MB RAM, 300GB HDD. Tested with Asterisk, AsteriskNow, Trixbox, and Skip2PBX.
